KATHMANDU, APR 13 - The meeting among the top brass leaders of major political parties convened at the initiatives of Constituent Assembly (CA) Chairman Subas Chandra Nembang ended inconclusively on Monday.

The leaders walked out of the meeting after exchanging greetings for the New Year 2072 BS. The leaders did not even take up the disputed issues.

Following the deferral of the CA meet earlier in the day, Chairman Nembang summoned themeeting of the top leaders at the Baneshwor, Kathmandu. CPN-UML leader KP Sharma Oli was absent in the meeting . The UCPN (Maoist) raised objection to his absence from the meeting .  “Oli ji did not show up at the meeting ,” said UCPN (M) chief whip Giriraj Mani Pokhrel, “This shows how serious the ruling parties are for talks.”

Leader Oli had gone to climb the Dharhara located at Sundhara, Kathmandu, after attending today’s CA meet. He remained absent at the meeting of political parties scheduled to be held half-an-hour after the CA meet.
